Top Lock Cut-Off Switch/4 terminal Back Panel Erect Switch

Anything that pertains only to a convertible goes here. Such as: Top material, pads, mechanism, hydraulic pumps, switch and relay mechanisms, latches, etc.

Top Lock Cut-Off Switch/4 terminal Back Panel Erect Switch

Post by Bill Prince »

Does anyone know the history behind this change, and the cars affected?

Cars with: The 6 terminal Back Panel Erect Limit Switch

vs

Cars with: A 4 terminal Back Panel Erect Limit Switch, along with a Top Lock Cut-Off Limit Switch

Was this a change made for late cars vs early cars, or ? Assuming the change was implemented.
And why?
Thanks,
Bill
