1961-63 Motor Mounts
Quick question: Are the MM for the convertible the same as used on the sedan? I'm looking to acquire a set to keep as spares as and when required and I read somewhere that the convertible MM are different to the sedan and most places that sell them i.e. Rock Auto etc don't specify the exact type.

Re: 1961-63 Motor Mounts
As I recall, when I replaced one of my prior 65 sedan motor mounts 10 + years ago, the sedan and vert MMs were slightly different. Not sure about the earlier years though. I think John Brewer would know. He has sold motor mounts on his ebay store in the past. Try him at johnabrewer@msn.com

The motor mounts for the convertible are different then for sedans.
You can install sedan mounts on a convertible, but they will end up tearing out.
Motor mounts sold at the various parts houses (Napa, etc) most resemble the sedan mounts, but in most cases are different from the sedan mounts in a variety of ways (ie they are probably a different motor mount that is similar but not the same) To resolve this confusion, I located a supply of the original NOS motor mounts marked with the correct part numbers. I still have about 8 sets in stock.

Yes, I do have them for convertibles. They are NOS (new old stock) and still have the Ford part stickers on them.
