mystery Lincoln part: solved!
When I purchased my 67 Lincoln the pictured part was in the glove compartment. I have searched my parts index and cannot find anything that might help identify the part. Note that the long flat side has been broken off of another part. Can anyone help identify this part? The part number is hard to read but it is C7VB-53014A08-A. Thanks in advance, Steve

Re: mystery Lincoln part
It’s the rubber flap that has torn off the vents in the sides of the doors.
The a doors and look for something triangular with a square mesh covering the hole. The flap is supposed to act as a valve for water or dust or something.
It’s part of the new “flow thru” ventilation for 1967.
I might actually have two intact samples in my attic. I would be happy to sell them to someone who wanted undamaged samples to repair their Lincoln. Functionally, I doubt one would notice the difference.

Re: mystery Lincoln part
It may only be 67 coupes. It may be on the front doors of sedans and convertibles.
Edit: OK, I knew my pornographic/semi-photographic memory would have something.
From this thread (Authenticity to the Extreme: 66 vs. 67, there is a pic of a coupe door inside door panel with a small grille. This is the cabin-to-door vent intake "port" (see pic below). The "exhaust port" is on the back end of the door jamb on the door. It is a triangular vent, screwed to the door, with a rubber flap. the flap- keep water from going INTO the door from the outside. I don't have a picture of the flap or the door.
Edit2: I found the pic!
