Just a heads up to all you 66/67 convertible people.

I have just finished reproduction of the 1966 /1967 Lincoln hydraulic check valve (two on each car, attached via short black hydraulic hoses to both top and deck lid hydraulic motors).
I am currently waiting to do an install to check for proper function.

Nice! I’ve rebuild these and as long as the rubber tip on the inside plunger is ok, they mostly work.

Need someone to test? Please post when you ship and the price!

I do need someone to test. I have two that have been made for testing. The way they work on both pumps is identical, but the hydraulic top will be a better test than the lighter deck lid.
I will start pricing for forum members at $135 per valve. They are identical to the originals internally, and use the internal spool and O ring setup I have already manufactured and have been marketing as a rebuild kit.

If whoever does testing wants to keep the valve they install, I would need your old valve back as a core (primarily for the internal spring, which I currently do not have in stock)

Regarding Dans' comment on the internal spool tip...
The tips tend to erode away over time. The tips will start to pass fluid once the tip has some wear. This causes the top/deck lid to creep down if left in the vertical (deck lid up or top sticking straight up) positions.

The two "O" rings mounted on the spool start to pass fluid after some time, causing the valve to leak out of the weep hole at the end of the valve. This causes a mess of fluid in the trunk carpet liner and will eventually cause the pump to go low on fluid.

I installed a pair of the hydraulic check valves today in a LCOC members 67 Lincoln. WORKED GREAT!

No more creeping tops and deck lids, no more leaking/spitting valve.

If anyone is interested, give me a call. LCOC members will get a special price of $135 for the next few months.
My market price will be $225 each.

Thanks
