Re: LCOC Board meeting next week - comments?
The meeting went very well indeed!
A full report will be posted shortly, but here are a few basic highlights:
* An exciting raffle is about to be launched for a 2017 Lincoln Continental!
* The LCOC will be represented at the 2016 Hershey along side the LZOC
* The approval has been given to institute any number of Lincoln Registries and will be linked through the LCOC website
* The LCOC website will be completely overhauled with an interesting new fresh look and real time directory searches available by name, car, location etc.
* Continental Comments will now be printed in 100% color
* 2015 Membership has shown further decline, though the actual numbers of members has slowed for the 4 continuous year
* Specific steps including new personnel will be put in place immediately to eliminate spelling and grammar mistakes found recently in Continental Comments
* Only one Grand National Meet will be held in 2017 - Hickory Corners MI in August celebrating Lincoln's 100th anniversary!
* A special LCOC new subscription price will be available to current members of other Lincoln Clubs at the Lincoln Homecoming at Hickory Corners meet in August
* It was once again clearly reaffirmed our desire to be an all inclusive Lincoln club made up of all Lincolns, all levels of quality, owned by people of all ages, ethnicities and backgrounds. The notion of the LCOC being a "good old boy" club of nitpickers is long dead and long gone.
The Board and I feel very good about the future of this wonderful club. The harmony at the meeting was excellent, respect for differing opinions was clear and therefore much was accomplished. That being said, we are seeking people to serve on the national LCOC board and in other capacities to maintain the Club's presence.
