Post by WhiteLightning »

Any one else notice all the big screw ups in the recent newsletter ?? And it's not just this issue but quite a few. It used to be the best but now who's editing it ?? Or looking over it to make sure it's right ???

White--
It's entirely possible that the editor could use assistance. Maybe your help could improve the publication. I'm sure it would be appreciated, as it is certainly a voluntary service to the Lincoln community. What do you think?

How would you feel winning the top trophy and someone. Not putting the right info down. If he messes up on the little stuff than ok but on the big stuff. Should be a hell no

If you send the editor the correct info, it will be published in the next issue.

He's getting paid to do this, so it's not a volunteer issue. The officers and judges are volunteers, not him.

Re-posting so that the OP will see it. I've noticed that many people only read the most current post.

It's a car club magazine, not the Bible. GTFOI.

Mistakes happen. I've done websites and newsletters and it's mostly a thankless job unless you screw up, then it's complaints.

I don't mind if I am 1 of the reviewers to make sure it's right but it's a big thing that you either put the wrong photo in or the wrong infor for the person who wins the big trophy. I would like to volunteer but the problem is is you have so many people within the club that will not allow help. And Barry don't go away mad just go away

Personally I have only found one organisation that has never made a mistake but sometimes I wish the Australian Tax Office would get it wrong.

I guess when you are judged as being the best you have a right to expect the officials would cast the same critical eye over the details recording the event, but in the real world we all make mistakes. Sometimes we have the opportunity to correct our mistakes or make amends. Sometimes unfortunately when it's in print, we don't.

I'm sure I am not alone in hoping you post a picture of your car and the trophy and share your success with a global audience of admirers.
