Al, Download the meet packet from the LCOC.org website for the hotel information.

If you haven't registered, you can visit as a spectator for free to see the cars. Look for my dark Blue 66 Convertible and the guy with real short hair who looks younger and fitter than 90% of those attending and that's probably me. If you're there Friday, I can give you the low-down on the whole show.

Been that way all spring around here (Philadelphia, PA area). Finally got the Lincoln out for a drive last night. Yesterday was the only sunny day since last Thursday

I'm in Brookville, PA taking a break. 6 hours was too long. Three stops to pee and one for gas.

I'm 4h25m away and planning on leaving by 6:30am tomorrow to avoid the heat. I'll be in when I'm in.

Dan,

Just looked at the map. Guess you are getting on the Pennsylvania Turnpike to 476 in King of Prussia. The King of Prussia Mall is nice if you like High End and expensive. That is probably the most exciting thing you will pass on your ride other than cows. As you pass cow farm after cow farm just imagine how much methane gas they are producing (multi chambered stomach animals are the 2nd largest polluters after autos). Then again you can stop at our Capital, Harrisburg, that is bankrupt ! I am pretty sure that your ride will be eventful enough to mark it down as the one of the most if not the most boring ride you have ever driven. We compete with the corn fields of the Midwest.

I'm not planning on sight-seeing anything I can't see from the gas stations and rest areas on the way to Glen Mills.

If I wanted to see a Bancrupt city I'd go to Detroit.

Welp, I've had my first mechanical failure of the trip. Went to put the driver's window up and it appears the switch has failed. Our club president helped me jumper the wiring to raise it.

However, I have selected the best of show car below:

So looks like I didnt have time to get Lorelei ready after winterizing, and Black Jack is still needing a drain of the 16 gallons of water in the tank. I tried explaining to the sunoco claims person that yes, from April until now, I havent driven the car, I have 4, and I dont drive classics during bad weather...

They want me to tow the car, have an expert analyze the gas all out of pocket..and then MAYBE they will pay...yeah right...

I might stop by Sunday but not in a Continental...

Here is how you drive 650 miles with a leaky top missing half the seals without water coming in.
Painters Tape 1
Painters Tape 1
Painters Tape 2
Painters Tape 2
blue painters tape, while still basically paper, leaves no residue, is cheap, comes in 2-3 inch widths, and sticks well enough at 70mph to keep the water out.

And here is what happens to tape that flutters in the wind at 70mph. It vibrates like a MoFo and gets torn to shreds. This is the trailing edge.
