Thanks, Mike! Today was great fun, I'm very glad I made it. Dan, it was great to meet you (and all of the other new faces as well).

A couple final pics from the event. If you didn't come, but could have, you suck!

What a great meet! It's like all the stars were in alignment for the dedication of the museum. There was a very nice turnout, with some attendees coming from overseas. Lots of beautiful Lincoln's. Good friends and good food. And absolutely perfect weather. It really doesn't get any better than that.

On a side note, we had the rare opportunity to go up in a bi-plane while at the Air Zoo. That was a first for us, and it was a fantastic experience.

We've been to many, many meets of other marques, but we've enjoyed the Lincoln meets the best.

I have arrived safely back at the homestead. I still have to take the car out to fill the tank for a milage calculation.

I'll upload all my pics of interest to the Michigan LCOC website and post a link.

We left at 0800 and arrived home safe and sound at 1820 (10+20 enroute). For the Rockford show, we are going to leave home a day early and spend two nights enroute, the first on the other side of Toronto to avoid the GTA traffic cluster f***.

Dan, thanks, I'll let my brother know where to find a picture of a US Flag with 48 stars! ;)

One question: My name is spelled wrong on my "brick". Where/who should be told about this?

The go-to guy if you see something with a spelling error is Vaughn Koshkarian.

The museum experience was probably one of the best car events I have ever attended!
The cars, the people, the weather, the car collections, the cruise - it was a fantastic time!

Also super nice to see so many Forum folks includine Jim from CA, Jon (who just donated his beautiful '72 Mark IV to the museum), Mike S, Dan, Allan and his Dad from Bloomington IN and probably many others Ican't recall at the moment.

All in all, just a wonderful weekend!!!!!! :D :D :D So glad I was there!

I second this! It was great to see you again John. Hopefully I can make it out to another event. Otherwise, you are always welcome in Bloomington! :smt006

I came back across the border at Port Huron-Sarnia just before 4pm, after a stop for gas/lunch near Flint and quick stops at Meijer and AutoZone in Fort Gratiot. Stopped to visit family and friends in London, Ontario so I was parking the '85 in the garage at home around 11:30pm. I filled up when I got into town, and just need to crunch the mileage numbers. The dash computer told me 17.7 mpg average, so I'll see how accurate that is. I was in the 18 mpg realm on the highway. Total trip distance was just over 1200 kilometres or about 750 miles. Oil consumption appears to have been minimal :D
