We are slightly more secure than we were.
It is recommended for everyone to change their passwords just in case.
To my knowledge, there has been no breach of any kind. We have been safe from BOTs and have never lost any data except through my own mess-ups. Please be aware that the "Forgot password" function may not work. If you use it, your password will be emailed to you in an insecure fashion.

It's frustrating as all get out! WHY IS THIS?

The forum’s software is old and there are probably problems related to all of the patches applied over the years.
I recommend deleting all board cookies using this link and copying your responses into your paste buffer (select it, then control- or command-C) before hitting submit.
I don’t have the time to work on a total forum upgrade (nor the skill). It needs to be done, so all I can ask is patience until it finally happens.

I found there is a difference when using window op system. I had two old machines using windows 7. This forum was an issue using 7.
On Windows 10 I have not had those issues. I no long have those old machines.
