Forum Transfer to a new server, Sept 16, 2012.

Nick Sanford has successfully transferring our forum database and software to a new host. Most won't notice any difference.

The end result of this is going to be updates to the phpBB software itself and new features.

Kudos to Nick for doing what i was unable to do.

If anyone notices anything not working, let me know (things like the forum emailing you when a thread is updated likely won't be fixed until we update the software itself).

If you see some embedded pictures that appear corrupted or blank, we are re-transferring them and they should be working shortly.

Looks like search is not working. I'll have to update the search index. This will require the forum to be closed once again for a few hours.

I felt lost without the forum as well. Logging in to the forum is one thing I really look forward to every day. I'm glad it's back. Thank you, Nick, for your endeavors to assist Dan in keeping the forum up to date.

Even though I no longer have a Lincoln, or Continental, I have found this forum to be one of the best online.
Over the years it has seemed more like an extension of my own family, and that is why I stayed after I sold both my Continentals, and I expect to be around for years to come.

I was just looking around and we're back in business! All the images and thumbnails seem to be working perfectly. I'm glad you downloaded that copy of the "files" folder, I think it saved the day. Cheers to Dan for providing us with the spot to be online for Lincolns. I'm always down to volunteer my time for a good cause...

Can anyone tell me if the reply notification system is working? I just got an email when I got a PM and I swear that didn't work before the move (although it used to).

I've been getting emails from the forums in my main account, so my guess is that notifications are working...
