LCM Question

Post by LawrenceJr03 »

1997 Lincoln Town Car. Is it possible for a LCM to still function as it should, but still put a big parasitic drain on my battery ( 5.30) ? Any help appreciated. I'd like to be at least 90 plus percent that's the problem, since this item is over $100.00, and that's for a rebuilt. Thanks !

It's quite possible that a stuck relay or a shorted piece of electronics can draw current on a partial state causing battery drain.

You can isolate current draw on the battery by measuring the current and pulling fuses.

And it's ONLY $100? Sounds like a bargain for an old Lincoln.

$100? I thought there were no additional $100 parts available for these things. I’ve had my ‘61 for 29 years and for whatever it needs, a hundo is a bargain…
