Dash lights

Post by Greggory1 »

I have a 1966 Lincoln continental. none of my dash lights Are working. I had some burned out bulbs so I changed all my dash bulbs but none of them still are coming on, is there a relay or a fuse that may be bad that I am not aware of.
Thank you

Do you have turn signals? Did you check the headlight switch to make sure the knob (rheostat) is turned all the way to the right, I believe, for full on for the dash lights? Fuse in the fuse box should be marked on the label on the door.

There is a 6-amp fuse in the fuse panel that controls the instrument panel and shift quadrant indicator lamps. It's the small fuse in the upper RH corner of the fuse panel. The fuse panel is concealed behind a hinged panel of the lower instrument panel padding, immediately to the right of the glove box. Open the glove box. Grip the LH edge of the padded panel immediately to the right of the opening, to reveal the fuse panel.

Umm... make sure the dimmer dial isn't turned all the way down, too.
