1990 Town Car rear passenger window regulator & motor

Post by Zeke_Jr »

I am hoping to find a window regulator and motor for my 1990 towncar signature series that has the split glass. I've tried Ebay & then rockauto 3 times have been sent the wrong regulator and motor before they told me that they don't stock the 1990Regulator and motor only the 93 which did not have the split window. I don't want to change the glass to a full window but I cannot locate Anything for the 1990 town car. If anyone has one that works and they're willing to sell or knows of another supplier that will have what I am looking for please please let me know.

The split window was around until the body change in 95. The regulator is the same for 90-92 and looks like it might have switched part way thru 93.

I would think by now you would know what the correct one looks like

Is there only one style for the 1990 model?

Motor would be separate

There should be outlets for replacement parts, to include any junkyards in your area. I recommend you expand your search to include that option, especially any that allow for customers to pick and pull their own pieces. More fun that way; besides, you cannot ever be certain that the employment of the yard would have done a 100%-accurate inventory.

If for some reason replacements cannot be had and you need to address it quickly, what about the prospect of repairing what you have as opposed to replacing everything outright? It may help us diagnose your issues and tell you what needs replacing and what doesn't. I know that by the '90s Ford (and the rest of the industry) was resorting to the notorious ASE practice of "just throw parts at it and see where it goes"; but there have to be a few things still on that year that can be repaired rather than replaced. What exactly is your passenger-side rear window doing, or not doing?
