Does anyone know if a varninglamp should lit up when the cruisecontrol is engaged on a 76 Continental Town car?

There is no light(s) for speed control.
That did not become a thing on FLM products until about the 1990s

Re: Varninglamp for cruisecontrol?
That's true; I now remember that there was no indicator light for the cruise system on the '82 Humpback my grand had. The '66—9 cars had operating lights on them: In '66 it was integrated into the control unit only, showing when the unit was on; from '67—'69 the system had two lights, one on the control unit to show it on, and another on the dash to show it in operation (the in-operation light was green-filtered, which I found cool). I wonder why they deleted that outright in the '70s...?
That was actually one of the lights I liked seeing on in the old '79 Electra my grand bought for me...even though, more often than not, due to the engine's valve issues the system wouldn't hold reliably if at all.
Well, we're all replaceable at some point; but while we still have Action he's valuable.
