Lincoln 341 ci oil pan

Post by Lincoln man »

Does anyone know if a Thunderbird 55-57 292-312 ci or Ford truck y block oil pan will fit on a 341 y block Lincoln engine? Need a rear sump oil pan because I want to use a Fatmans front stub, and the front sump pan wont clear the power rack. Someone told me that they thought the 341 was a larger block than a 292 or 312, so the oil pan would not be interchangeable. Any thoughts or help would be appreciated.

I am going to say no.

Based on the 341 gasket
https://www.ebay.com/itm/Ford-279-332-L ... w4&vxp=mtr

And the 292/312 gasket
https://www.ebay.com/itm/Ford-279-332-L ... w4&vxp=mtr

If these pictures are accurate one gasket has 21 holes the other 22.

From what I see on ebay, the pan gasket is for a 272,292 317 and 341 Ford , Mercury and Lincoln. Am I wrong on this?

I may have mis counted. Looks like both are 21 holes.

If they are both 21holes, then I am still wondering if a Ford truck pan will fit on a 341 ci Lincoln block, or is the Lincoln block physically larger? Is there any place where I can find this information? Any help is greatly appreciated.
