“Most of the business is mail order parts, classic Lincoln parts that we send to 45 countries,” he said. “These are parts from the 1960s that were irreplaceable and were stored where the fire happened.”

Ouellette said he’s still absorbing the magnitude of loss.

“Everything I’ve got is in the ground,” he said. “I’m not sure where I go from here.”

That’s not a good sign.

The warehouse is across the street. It was untouched by fire, as I understand it. The beige building where the fire burned housed the office and service bays.I don't know where the shipping department was located and what else was in the beige building. There were also junked Lincolns stored on the property. Looks like a '66 'vert in the picture. Maybe someone from the forum could drive by and take more photos.

Losses like this can devastate small businesses that operate on razor-thin margins. People bitch about the price of hard-to-find Lincoln parts, as if they should be given away, but don't realize all the costs that go into running a business. I hope they recover from this. I don't need anything to buy to help them out, though.

Hopefully they have insurance not only for the building and contents but for business disruption.

I do have a few things that could be bought from them. However it appears they are not accepting orders. Otherwise I would place an order.

Well, shucks. I thought I would pull up the Baker's website just to see if there was an update on their status. Their web server now redirects you to an eBay store for "OldCarClearance."
I'm taking that to mean they are calling it quits.

They aren’t calling it quits, just refocusing. The business is concentrated on parts sales via EBay, now. The service department is now gone, as I understand.

Tim Nill's passing has been reported here but not the successor company. It's called Selluxe and Brian Tollefson runs it. I have neither purchased parts from them as yet nor had them perform any service but have come close a couple times and Brian has always been helpful and courteous in our email exchanges. Electro-Tech is listed earlier as a radio specialist. Has anyone used them? How about Barry Fone at www.Barrys8trackRepair.com? MY 1966 AM/8-track only gets one or two AM stations and the 8-track doesn't work at all and I'd like to get it fixed. Thanks.

Dave, you might try Tayman Electrical. He really specializes in Aurora conversions, but may be able to help. I sent my original radio from my ‘67 and he did a great job. No experience with the others you mentioned, though.

How do you also repair parts for Lincoln Radio? Is DIY a good idea?

Radio repairs (other than replacing a light bulb) were not the type of repair a dealership technician would do. The radio was removed and sent to an audio repair shop. So there are no repair procedures in the shop manual.

If that is your skill set there are aftermarket manuals offered on ebay for that kind of repair

Parts .. none of the above will have parts. They may have a radio for sale. Parts .. may be ebay or other electronic outlets.
