Just don't go thinking it is more valuable because your car lacks an option. Removing something seldom adds value.

Just out of interest trav721, do the rear quarter windows fully retract into the sail panel?

I'm not sure, I will have to check on that. The car is my dads and I'm going to be taking it to restore it.elcad70 wrote:Just out of interest trav721, do the rear quarter windows fully retract into the sail panel?

I don't think I will ever be able to sell it anyway. I have very fond memories of riding in the back of that car when my mom and dad were together. Probably the only car that reminds me that we were all a family at one time.Dan Szwarc wrote:Just don't go thinking it is more valuable because your car lacks an option. On the 72 it does add value with comparable 72 Mark iv with that option. But remember if your car on a scale from 1 to 10 is a 3 than no value but if it's a 8 9 or 10 than does add value and depends on the color all white all black than a lot more value post photos

Re: 72 Mark IV Opera Window Delete
It is in rough shape right now, paint is white. The vinyl top is removed and there is some small amounts of rust around the bottom of the rear window. The interior is brown and is destroyed, including the dash. So this car will be no where near an original mint car. But like I said, I don't think I could ever sell the car anyway. I would just like to be able to cruise it around and take it to some car shows, and say there are only so few of these things around that didn't come with the windows. I will try to post pictures of it later from my computer.WhiteLightning wrote:On the 72 it does add value with comparable 72 Mark iv with that option. You HAVE one of those????? Ya playin'!
Stop playin'--pictures! You need to show us pictures! Every angle, inside and out, you need to show us pictures! The only one ever seen was in a sales brochure, which triggered a huge discussion years ago over whether that actually happened, whether it was a factory mistake, etc.
So, PICTURES!

Haha, ok ok. I just got the car from my dads recently. Unfortunately it is in much worse shape than I remember, so it is going to be a lot of work. I'll take some pictures of it after work.
Re: 72 Mark IV Opera Window Delete
It's not letting me post the pictures. Says the files are too big??
Re: 72 Mark IV Opera Window Delete
Had to shrink the picture so sorry about showing so little.
