1964 Lincoln Continental Estate Wagon
Probably posted in the wrong forum section, but... Love the look of this.
"The rear window would have been electrically opening, sliding over the roof, and the tailgate would have hinged downwards, taking the bumper with it for low loading."
I have always loved old wagons from the heyday and this would be the most badass, ever!
Check out member "Artandcolour" old post on the Ford Inside News forum. Just right click photos and choose "view image" to see entire photo of each concept. Wow!

WOW! His site is awesome! This guy needs hired to design, NOW! His concepts are crazy cool. I didn't realize he had so many chop designs.
The Barracuda and Imperial Crown Coupe are great. I cant say as much for the 2020 Lincoln MKH/3. There's always a bad apple in the bunch. lol

Re: 1964 Lincoln Continental Estate Wagon
From what I see from Lincoln, I don't think they would go for that model in a 2 door. they don't seem to think "out of the box" and it really looks good.

Yeah it does, actually! It looks more like the station wagons of old, when station wagons were built on car frames. I liked station wagons.

When I was a kid, I built the AMT annual kits.
For 65, the Lincoln convertible could be built as a station wagon.
I did mine as a ragtop....

Jim, thats funny, I also thought of the AMT model kit that could be built like a wagon. I think I still have an unbuilt version of that AMT kit somewhere around here.

Yea, me too.
Got a couple of 64 annuals, as well.
I think I built all the annuals for suicide Lincolns in the 60's starting with a 63.
Also bought the matchbox 64 Lincoln when it came out.
Seems to have foretold my 64 ownership.

Re: 1964 Lincoln Continental Estate Wagon
I used to love to build model kits when I was a kid. I still do, but I have only built a couple as an adult. Just not enough time, and when I do have time, I usually have to spend it fixing the Lincoln or another old car.

Re: 1964 Lincoln Continental Estate Wagon
I sent Casey a note asking if he had ever seen the Lincoln Station Wagon model and he said no. His design has a different roofline.

Re: 1964 Lincoln Continental Estate Wagon
I have examples of every year, from 1958 to 1969--all the unibody Lincolns minus the old Zephyr. I don't have every kit ever made (AMT issued two kits from '61 to '65, and I only have one example of each year (save for '61, I have both versions of that year), but I have every year, all nicely lined up on a display shelf. I chose to make them all conventional stock, but I don't throw away anything. I still have the boxes with spare parts safely packed away in moving boxes.
---Tony
When I was still a toddler, my grand had gotten a dealer's friction of a '68, but that poor car did not survive being in my hands for too long. When I grew up and learned of the old kits, I swore I would collect them all. I started in '94 with classifieds in model magazines. Then some brilliant egghead came up with the concept of E-Bay...and you can guess the rest of the story.---Tony

Yea, no time to play anymore. Now, I've a garage full of 1:1 models that require all my spare time and cash.LC67Vert wrote:I used to love to build model kits when I was a kid. I do have a dozen or so unbuilt models (or partially built) sitting in an old wardrobe waiting for my retirement...
