What's a "Martino"

Any Lincoln fact related question can be posted here. Questions such as how many Contintenal convertibles were produced in MY1965? How much was the Town Car option in 1969? What size of tire was standard on a 1953 Premiere? or Does the Mark II retractible prototype still exist?

Could you imagine the Chinese fire drill anytime you had passengers getting in or out of the back seat?

The rust bucket does have larger and better shaped doors, but it needs another foot between the door and rear wheel. Or perhaps moving the rear wheel opening back to minimize rear overhang would help. Either way a long run for a short slide.

There is one in existence, somewhere; pictures below. And I can't really see that being a complication for rear passengers in the Chinese fire drill. In fact, the way I see it, their angle of escape would be less obstructed by that kind of hinging. But, that's me...I'm also one who's getting tired of that clichéd phrase "suicide doors."
