I have had a problem with an order for an aluminum radiator. There is a 3 year old brand new one sitting in a box near my Mark III that is 1/4"too wide.
In the Mark III is a re-cored original radiator.

My suggestion would be to stay far away from bars leak unless you are looking for more radiator repairs.
Find a shop in a bigger city or call around to repair shops that work on older cars where do they send out their radiators. NAPA parts shore may be a source.

As for your wife .... well I have one of those. Here are some things that you might say

Honey I could use a stop leak product and save money but it is temporary and says so on the container. You don't want to come pick me up if it doesn't work
Honey yes I could buy a road service plan and If I fix it on a permanent basis think of the money (drama) I will save!
Honey a more permanent repair gets me out of the house, longer.
Honey I know the correct repair is expensive. But it is a lot cheaper than a Fentanyl habit.

I'll have to remember that Fentanyl one. That's great stuff.

Another weekend of progress with Connie. She had a broken spring on the passenger side. The rear springs got swapped out with some early takeoffs from a wrecked car.

She now sits nice and level

I also swapped out the fuel tank and sending unit (thankfully another used OE tank with the low fuel warning sender) and ran a new hard fuel line. It was rotted out and replaced with a rubber one at one time. The brake lines were all replaced before the car went into storage and the car was oil undercoated, so those still look new.

From there, a bit of emptying the garage and winching from my RZR, and she moved outside unassisted. I grabbed an old license plate off the wall, threw it on the car and took her out for 25 miles. I've owned Cadillacs up until this one (as old cars, but I've had modern CV's, and TC's) and can honestly say, this is the nicest riding car of anything I've ever been in.

Still have to go through the brakes and exhaust, but she's getting close to being ready for safety inspection and licensing.

All the excitement may have been a little too much for her though. I gave her a bath before tucking her back in bed, and a lifter started ticking when I brought her in.

Give her a little Marvel Mystery Oil as a bed time snack. Wayne

I was thinking the same thing. I probably could use a little myself. I'm a bit stiff and sticky too.

Didn't add the Marvel yet but I suspect the oil change is knocking some crud loose from sitting for so long. About 2 hours of run time in the garage for tuning and about 25 miles of driving and the oil is BLACK.

A little Marvel followed by some run time and another oil change, hopefully we'll be good to go.

A little Marvel and Rislone in the crankcase, some Marvel down the carburetor and we're back in business smoother than ever.

It undoubtedly has its place in any garage.

I have used Marvel in the crankcase of my '67 Lincoln for years. I add some with each oil change along with some ZDP treatment. I figure the MMO is thin enough to quickly get up to the heads and lifters upon a cold start.

A few more little things to do to before inspection and licensing, but I did get some enjoyment time in:

Quite honestly, best riding, quietest car of the 74 cars I've owned to date (including some Cadillacs)
