Re: Registration Rule to reduce spammers and bots
Thinking back to what Mike and Dan said, perhaps a partial solution would be for their to be a YouTube "channel" for video clips just from members of this forum. They'd probably be much higher quality that most of what's out there and if one was inaccurate or fell short, comments here coul...

Well, I'll chime in, if only to make it three. People will get sick of FaceBook and turn to a more relevant, less Bozo-fied channel. This one. Everything has peaks and valleys.

Glad you got the card, Dan. It was meant to make you smile. If it was motivational to boot, that's great!
All best wishes

Re: Monitor coolant temp, no factory gauge?
frasern and Tony, thanks. Not sure how an overflow tank differs from the supply tank already on a '66 but in any event, I need to keep the engine bay stock.

Re: Monitor coolant temp, no factory gauge?
The shop manual for '66 says to fill to "a point one inch below the bottom of the supply tank filler neck." Typically when I checked my coolant (cold) it was lower than that. Lately it seems to barely cover the bottom of the expansion tank. The idiot light hasn't come on but it makes me wo...

That's bad news about the photo library. Also, "TLF to shut down in September unless..." and "The LincolnForum.net is back until August 2023" conflict with each other. Which is it? Thanks.

Re: TLF to shut down in September unless...
Dan, there used to be a photo library and I don't see it now. Am I just looking in the wrong place? Someone on an FB page was looking for a photo and I told him to join and find it here. I should have made sure I could find it myself first! Thanks.

Re: Grinding And Rumbling Under The Car
This entire thread is full of information that is totally new to me. And I have GOT to find me a shop that has that cool radio tool mentioned above. Probably something like this: https://www.amazon.com/Steelman-60635-Wireless-ChassisEAR/dp/B07K3XZR7R?th=1 I bet my mechanic and I could play with that...

Re: Valve tick
At the risk of re-starting the oil debate, about which many pages and hundreds of posts have already been written, I use Penn Grade 1 (formerly Brad Penn) 10w30. That, and several other oils marketed to classic car folks, already have zinc in them. Just a personal preference, but I'm generally happi...

I dislike additives generally. I use Penn Grade 1 motor oil (formerly Brad Penn) which has zinc in it already. https://penngrade1.com/products/
