Re: Dimmer switch connectors!!!!

I dont know if the harness you mentioned will work. Do a search on this forum for "flickering headlights" or "headlight harness". Others here have purchased like kits that have worked, but without a quick search, IDK what they were. As far as the foot switch, if you have auto dim...

Re: Dimmer switch connectors!!!!

It looks like you have auto dimmer option. If you want it to work at all, you will have to have correct footswitch. Here is link to the harness I used for upgraded headlights. This one is no longer in stock, but just search the same style and there are many out there. One harness did all 4 lamps. Ve...

Re: Broken tube from A/C fast idle solenoid

I just went through this with mine. You can just use a piece of 1/4" copper or poly tube. I dont see why a small piece of icemaker line wouldn't work.. The nut is a compression nut, so it will just seal onto the tubing as it's tightened down. The other end just pokes into the port on the back o...

Re: 63 speedometer not working but odometer is?

make sure the square end of the speedo cable is inserted fully into the speedometer as far as it will go and the retaining nut is fully tightened. If it is not fully inserted, it might not engage correctly to allow the speedo to register. Also, while in there hit it with some graphite cable lube. No...

Re: current price range of 1961-1963 Lincoln Continental- sedans and verts

Steven - I'm insured through Hagerty and they have been helpful to determine the insured value of my '63. Of course the market value could be higher. On another note, today is my car's 60th birthday! I know you have a vert, but do you mind my asking what is insured value? Happy Birthday! BTW

current price range of 1961-1963 Lincoln Continental- sedans and verts

It seems as of these past few years, that prices of 61-63 slabsides has increased drastically. Also, there are barely any for sale online, either. Ebay has nothing anymore. Any I see on other sites seem to be asking a hefty sum. Are they being purchased for these prices or is it just seller inflatio...

Re: 1966 Front Passenger window

The factory service manual has detailed steps on how to adjust the window travel, up/down, fore/aft, out/in, whichever way you can think it talks about in there. There is an order to follow to get it perfected. Had to do this on my '67 sedan. Yep! I had to do the same on my '63. All adjustment poin...

Re: The modern Type A Suffix A replacement

Good to know.
I've always used Dex III in my 63 sedan and have never had any issues. I also fully drained pan and TC before adding Dex, as I did not know what was previously in there.

Re: Replacement Tires for the 61

On a side note, Steve, the retrofit you did on your taillights, '65s on your '63, looks cool. I didn't notice that until now. On another side note (sorry to hijack, but I need to ask), how is that 9003-H4 harness working for your headlights? I'm eyeing one of those myself. ---Tony Tony, I also adde...

Re: Replacement Tires for the 61

I, myself, would just go with the DB II's. Why skimp on one of the most important items related to your Lincoln riding smoothly? $1200 for tires that have lasted you 12 years, doesnt seem all that bad. I purchased mine for my 63 sedan, back in '09 or '10 and am still running them with out issue. If ...
