Re: Anyone Have Tool T67P-7341-A?

Thank you for the response, was thinking that its needed in order to avoid damaging a grommet while taking the linkage apart and for reassemblying?. Was hoping to avoid buying a one-time use tool.

Anyone Have Tool T67P-7341-A?

Hi,

Would like to drop the trans on the MK III and was wondering if anyone can loan out tool T67P-7341A? According to Chilton's, it is needed to separate the selector rod from the manual shift lever.

Thanks for any response.

Re: Is this a Mk III mirror?

There was a kit offered that included everything needed for the r/s mirror install. It's part # is C8LY-17696-A.

As mentioned, the mirror itself is identical the l/s mirror.

Re: 1988 Towncar TV cable help

The TV cable is held to the air valve with plastic clip #EOAZ-7F330-A, they come two in a bag. the better bronze material clip is # F3S27H303B. Nether may still be available from Ford, so you might have to obtain from one of the obsolete part suppliers. I have a illustration of the linkage set-up, p...

Re: Under hood black metal paint finish

I've notice that my Mk III's inner fenders, radiator support are a gloss finish. The a/c compressor also has a gloss finish.

Re: 1969 Mark III Electronic Fuel Pump pressure

Had to replace the original pump and at that time was able to get an exact Carter pump, that was a duplicate to the original. That was well over 10 years ago and the replacement pump seems fine not affected by today's ethanol fuel. Suppose the replacement Carter pump, that now shows up on Rockauto a...

Re: Alternative radiator for Mark iii ------ running hot

Was also concerned about the Mk III's temp as the dash does not have numbers, so brought one of those $20 laser temperature reading tool from Harbor Freight. The gauge needle would sweep the 6 o'clock position, yet the laser readout when pointing to the thermostat housing is about 190 or so.

Re: Question & HELP - Proportioning Valve

I'd ask one of the Lincoln parts suppliers, about obtaining just the switch, like Lincolnland: https://www.lincolnlandinc.com/browseProducts/browse.php/PData/category~293/sku~1700 Or, if it were possible to get a part # for just the switch, call/email Green Sales: http://www.greensalescompany.com/ A...

Re: Hard start '61 sedan

To try and assist by eliminating variables: "engine turns freely when some of the spark plugs loosened." Is that with the engine warmed up? After install of rebuilt engine, has there always been a slow cranking when warmed up problem? Is there a slow cranking problem with a cold engine? Po...

Re: 69 mark III brake line broke

Maybe the existing proportioning valve could be repaired or pick another one up from one of the Lincoln junk yard guys that advertise in Continental Comments?

To eliminate the of bad fuel, try running it off a supply of known fresh fuel. She'll probably fire right up.

Re: 76 Mark IV eating fuel pumps

Back in very early 70's, Ford was using Rochchester Quadajets on some of the 429's.
