Re: Permanent 64 top removal
Def do what you want but my opinion is keep the top functionality. Keep in mind these cars are fairly rare and a convertible continues to go up in value especially non custom Lincolns. The car will be worth WAY more in the future with all the parts still on the car. Good luck!

Nice job! Reminds me of a TON of work I did on my '67 sedan many years back. Def take your time and do it right! Love seeing the progress.

Re: Project Smuggler's Blues - Triple Blue 1964 Convertible
Hello, not many updates to share. I never did finish the Stinkin Lincoln install as for some reason I ran into an issue and just decided to keep the factory lights. I need to install my new Colorado Custom billet center caps still which I plan to do this weekend. It's crazy I received them a year ag...

Let us know the outcome. I know you'll get it figured out as the advice above was spot on. I know this isn't your issue but I wanted to share as it reinforces sometimes it is something basic you never even think of. For my '64 "Smuggler's Blues' I had a local shop build a high output (HO) alter...

Re: Anyone where to find or make up this trim?
Ahh, understood. Maybe try Chris at Lincoln Land or Kelly at Mercury Old Lincoln Parts. Kelly is liquidating parts and lot if getting thrown away so I would try to email them.... i've been told she is NOT answering the phone... but I would try Chris first at Lincoln Land.

Re: Cleaning your motor Good or bad idea?
My feedback is be careful what you are pressure washing. Example... a buddy of mine had an early 60s sedan in stock that he was tinkering with some before he was going to sell it. He pressure washed the engine bay and shortly after it would not start. I checked and low and behold the distributor had...

In the pic yours does not look too bad. I would think you could just polish it up unless there is something else we are not aware of. Aluminum and stainless polish up amazingly as you probably already know.

Re: 1967 Lincoln Continental stalling when warm
Radiator could be nasty and clogged. This was part of the issue on my '64 when I fright got it running. Do you have the 3 port fuel pump? I realize you said "original fuel pump" however sometimes these cars end up with the 2 port which has 2 screws/bolts on top of the pump. The 3 port is a...

Hello, Checkout my latest score. I can't wait to dive into these older issues! Please see the note below about the '64 Johnson car and more intel I received about it AFTER I finished the video. The info came from a totally different post but I thought it would be good to include below. https://live....
