Re: Vacuum hose issues

Stu, Here's an old post about vacuum lines. If you scroll down, I posted up a picture of servo ports and functions. replacing all those lines was one of the worst jobs I did on my 1963 sedan, but felt the best when done, after everything vacuum related worked! Good luck with your issue. https://www....

Re: Wanted - trunk lid for 64 continental 4door

Christian Paul Customs make re-pop fiberglass ones. They aint cheap, but neither is a factory original. (if you can even find one) They have a website with pix and prices.

BTW- unless your b-pillar has been removed, your 1964 is a sedan, not a hardtop.
Also, we love pics!! Let's see some.
Cheers!

Re: WTB Black Seatbelts for 65

Seatbeltpros.com has everything you need for correct style seatbelts. Latches, colors, lengths, hardware, etc. Great products. I installed belts in my 63 sedan and was very happy with results. I dont know if 65 had Lincoln star logo or just aircraft latch style, so this may not work for "factor...

Re: 1965 emergency flasher switch handle?

I added a 1960's Ford truck flasher set-up to my 1963 Lincoln. This is exact set-up I used. I removed the black plastic knob and replaced it with a 1963 radio knob, so it would match the rest of knobs on dash. Looks correct and works, too! My old thread on here has had the pictures purged, but the p...

Re: Where does the negative battery lead go?

Dont know about later years, but on my 1963, it goes to a junction block under the battery tray and then down to the frame from the junction block.

https://www.thelincolnforum.net/phpbb3/viewtopic.php?p=391712&hilit=Hood+latch#p391712 Found this old thread with pics. Looks like cable is attached to handle. Go figure. I eat my words. I would definitely try to drill and tap because the mounting pin looks like it would easily accept a set scre...

Re: Hood release pull came off

I think you're right. I looked at mine even closer and they look like yours. I can find nothing on the hood latch in the 61MM or the 62-63 supplement that talks about it. Maybe try some random searches here. You may find a post where someone has removed it to repair a broken release cable. IDK? mayb...

Re: Hood release pull came off

Two tiny hex set screws on underside.
Loosen them, reinstall handle, tighten set screws.
Easiest fix ever for a Lincoln owner! :smt033

WTF are you talking about? I've always been helpful on this forum and have never "squaked" about shit, whatever that fucking means.

Shouldnt this be in the war room and not here? Dont really give a fuck about politics. Plenty of places for that. This shit just ruins posts and forums. IMO

Re: 1961 Lincoln maximum wheel width

I also have stock aluminum drum brakes and have no problems with them. A dual master would help, but if you have speed control option, as I do, this is a no go, unless you delete the speedostat. No happening for me. I just keep up on regular maintenance on brakes and am fine with drums.

Re: '62 Continental Tail lights

Ebay may be your only source. I acquired mine there many years back. I've installed 65 bezels on my 63 and think they look fine with the styling of the 63. I also fitted 64 front/rear rocker trim, to complete the lower body trim throughout, as the 63 has only center trim. Ultimately, it's your ride....

Re: 1961 Lincoln maximum wheel width

I'm running 1976 Mark deep dish wheels on my 1963. They are 15x6, 5x5 w/ 4" backspace. My tires are Diaomdback 235/75R15
Zero issue with rubbing, but this backspace is max, I think you could go without clearance issues.
