Re: 1966 1967 Convertible Hydraulic Check Valve Reproduction
IMG_8272.JPG IMG_8263.JPG IMG_8261.JPG I installed a pair of the hydraulic check valves today in a LCOC members 67 Lincoln. WORKED GREAT! No more creeping tops and deck lids, no more leaking/spitting valve. If anyone is interested, give me a call. LCOC members will get a special price of $135 for t...

Re: 1966 1967 Convertible Hydraulic Check Valve Reproduction
I do need someone to test. I have two that have been made for testing. The way they work on both pumps is identical, but the hydraulic top will be a better test than the lighter deck lid. I will start pricing for forum members at $135 per valve. They are identical to the originals internally, and us...

1966 1967 Convertible Hydraulic Check Valve Reproduction
IMG_8237.JPG IMG_8236.JPG Just a heads up to all you 66/67 convertible people. I have just finished reproduction of the 1966 /1967 Lincoln hydraulic check valve (two on each car, attached via short black hydraulic hoses to both top and deck lid hydraulic motors). I am currently waiting to do an ins...

Re: Convertible Top Suppliers?
Robbins has been making good tops for a long time.
My dad had his 67 top replaced back in 1969 and it was a good product then
They are still making tops and doing a good job.
I prefer Jim Wallace because his kits are more complete (including top pads)

Re: 66 convertible roof ram replacements
Hi,
Give me a call and I will run you through installation of the rams and bleeding. I will also explain what to look at in the top frame to see if there was any other damage.

Re: Lower top cylinder bracket broke clean off
I must have looked at those photos 15 times, but I could not see what was obvious. My mind refused to see that the connection bracket had been pulled into the trunk. I have never encountered this problem and did not know it was possible. I will stick by "You see something new every day. I thoug...

Re: Lower top cylinder bracket broke clean off
No one mentioned it, but the mounting point in the trunk is 100% incorrect and is a hack installation. Dans photos show the correct mounting point behind the back seat. I am surprised that this would work at all without immediately breaking something. You see something new every day. I thought I had...

Re: ‘65 Deck Lid Not Opening
David, Your primary problem at the moment is that the deck lid is being activated to close even when your hand is off the top control switch on the dash. If you disconnect the top control switch on the dash, this will prove out whether your problem is in the top control switch or elsewhere. If the m...

Re: New Wiring Harnesses for Engine Compartment
So far, the first 66/67 difference is the connector for the oil sending unit. On some cars it is a spade connector and on some it is a post connector. I have changed the build to add a post connector jumper with a spade plug in. That way if you have the spade connector you just remove the post conne...

Re: New Wiring Harnesses for Engine Compartment
Nick,
I checked the parts book for 65-71 and only came up with one harness part number for 66/67 and early 68. Can you provide a part number for this late 67 variation?
At this point, to the best of my knowledge, the late 68-69 configuration on the 460 cars was different.

The engine harness is $80 shipped and the horn harness is $50 shipped.

New Wiring Harnesses for Engine Compartment
IMG_7708.JPG IMG_7707.JPG I just completed reproduction on two wiring harnesses for the engine compartment of 66-68 (with 462) Lincolns (not Mark III). In both cases, the original harnesses have usually deteriorated, with the wires no longer supple and the cloth loom cover broken apart and discolor...

Re: 1961 lincoln
IMG_7032.JPG Hi, I manufacture a correct replacement for the bracket that holds the top switch in place under the dash for 1961 - 1963 Lincolns. It is custom cast out of aluminum and finished in satin black. Looks just like the original, but will never break. Give me a call and you can purchase one...

Re: 1965 Lincoln Convertible Top Issues
Nima, There is nothing wrong with your top control switch. Given that you could get the top to operate (even incorrectly) in both directions, this means that the switch was passing current properly. Your header locked while the top was coming out of the trunk probably because the button on the top u...
