Re: Power question on my ‘77 Town Coupe

action wrote:No shame in stating the issue.
And stating this may help someone doing a search to find this website and the fix for their issue.

How is the moonroof and deck lid release working?
Did they get fixed with that fuse replacement?

Action

Yep, sure did. All fixed with the fuse #14 replacement

Re: Wits end on ‘77 window repair, help!!!

Tony, I got into it a little more this morning and found out that my regulator gear is flopping all over the place. So, while I don’t want to do it, I’m going to have to remove the regulator and rebuild the whole mechanism. Not easy, but I will learn from it. I’ll check the archives, but has anyone ...

Re: Power question on my ‘77 Town Coupe

Thanks Dan, I have the ‘77 wiring/vacuum book and I did determine that the 7.5 amp fuse that feeds the relay was blown. Once replaced I have power to the window switch. Shame on me for letting the group know my issue.

Wits end on ‘77 window repair, help!!!

So, because the plastic gears on the driver’s door were shot, along with the motor, I ended up ordering a new window motor which comes with the gears. Problem is that after the installation, I cannot get the regulator gears to mesh with the motor properly and the mini vent will not rise. Before the ...

Thanks Dave, it’s not as nice as it might appear. I’d call it a nice driver.

Re: Have you seen this 1948 Continental ?

Thanks Rob, I don’t think is the same car because for the last 25 years or so it’s been in Detroit. Yes it is a V-12 with overdrive.

Have you seen this 1948 Continental ?

Guys, recently I was fortunate enough to purchase a 1948 Continental Continental from near Detroit. It was owned for many years by a Mr. Arthur Snider of Macomb Michigan.

Power question on my ‘77 Town Coupe

12 years ago a question came up here regarding the power delivery to the window motors but the thread didn’t really answer the question I need an answer to, so here goes. Both my windows stopped working, along with the trunk release and the moonroof. I have no power at the window switches. While the...

Re: I finally have an MKZ!

I have to say, that's a really nice-looking Zephyr you got, John...and in Kansas City as well! That's only two to three hours from me. I know, I know, they call it "MKZ"; but letterspeak is not my thing. Call me old-fashioned, I prefer words...and we all know the "Z" was a lefto...

Re: I finally have an MKZ!

Congrats on the new toy, John. "hopefully another sedan will replace it down the road, perhaps an EV." I heard (who I remember as) the Ford VP of Sales & Marketing for the mid America tell me (when I asked him when Ford was coming out with an EV) back in probably 2015 (at one of the s...

Re: I finally have an MKZ!

Looks great John! As you know, the interior color is the same as mine. Not really hard to keep clean, you just have to pay a little attention to how you treat it. If you wear jeans or dark colored clothing a lot, I would suggest using a seat cover or towel, as you could get dye transfer which is al...

After lusting for 2013 - 2016 MKZ for years, I found a 14 in Kansas City. The one year only color is call a Dark Side. Bought it with 3,400 miles. Moonroof and the 3.7!
