Re: Found in a barn

any more pics of the VW? nope, it looked pretty good though aside from the mashed up left rear fender. i couldn't get more pics of it for the same reason there are no pics of the front of the lincoln: the garage was in the way are they selling the stuff in the garage? if so i would be intrested in ...

thanks for the comparison pics Dan

as i was taking the pictures i thought it looked different than the '63 i had, which looks about the same as the 65 you posted. in fact, i was hoping it was a 65 as i don't like the 66+ bodies as much.

found in a barn

well, a garage actually in this thread i started to tell the story and last friday i got a chance to take a look. here you can see that, in spite of my hopes of exaggeration, the garage roof is indeed falling down on top of the lincoln http://thumb13.webshots.net/t/53/453/1/88/34/2231188340036053013...

recovery points, 1965 continental

sooo i have been absent from this board for a couple years because i had to sell my '63 continental. unemplyment kicked my ass... anyway, i have a lead on another vehicle and from the verbal description it's one of those "you won't believe what i found in a barn" stories, only it's in a ga...

windshield replacement

just for the edification of all... i had to replace the windshield on my '63 with a gasket from one of the usual suspects and the installer said it was a piece of feces. coming up on 2 years later i would agree. the soft corners, which are a different type of rubber than the straight sections are lo...

disk brake conversion on a '63

hi

i can't seem to find my answers with a search so here goes ...

what parts do i need from what year cars to convvert my '63 to front disk brakes?

is it just a matter of finding the correct caliper and bracket or do i need an upright/spindle from a disk brak equipped car too?

thanks

pretty sure it's not the neutral switch, i've fiddled with it before and it works fine.

the partially broken wire... hummmm. i've had to do some repairs there from removing an old alarm system, maybe i need to repair my repairs
