Re: Roof Seal Installation, Adjusting Door Striker

I know I am digging up an old one but I know you are still active TonyC. So my question to you is, did you use weather stripping adhesive on the roof rails? My old seals came out in a powdery mess, so its really had to tell what was what with the stock seals. My car is a 65 but im sure the method is...

Re: Engine swap going back in time. ’64 into a ’67

Since no matter which way you go you will have dollars flying out of your pocket, why not at least end up with an original car that will be worth more than a modified one in most cases (not including the Sema level top quality no cost constraints etc). Don't give SEMA too much credit you will see m...

I am not sure either, but I was under the impression that if the reserve tank had an issue the entire system would be down.

If you start this swap too low on funds to deal with the 462 it won't be running any time soon with the 430. Nothing ever drops in these cars.

Re: Who to go to for power steering pump rebuild?

Awesome, now I have an excuse to get a mini lathe! I was intending on sending this out to get rebuilt but I'm not sure what they would do that I would not. Still on the fence about it but I might give it a shot because I too really wish some documentation could be found on the subject. The major dow...

Re: VIN Tag Info does NOT match interior/exterior

That car is scary to me, it looks like a really bad paint job. Cars like this are usually jam packed with secrets.

Re: 3D Parts Printing

Does .stl lower quality of fine details? I was playing around with the aerodynamics program from autodesk (which is a pointloess gimmick) and the .stl conversions from .dwgs is really poor as far as details or even more complex surfaces of a 3d solid. The newer autocad stuff does confuse me, but wh...

Re: 3D Parts Printing

I 3D printed an entire car, well technically it was me and another guy. But I have spent the last 5 years working with 3D printers everything from desktop all the way up to the worlds largest commercially available printer. I was recently laid off but I can answer some questions. https://3dprint.com...

Re: Who to go to for power steering pump rebuild?

Ok I took the pump apart. Here is what I see. The cover seal has some dings in it but I am not sure if that is where the fluid leak was coming from. The rotor shaft has some wear but the camera makes it look far more drastic, in reality none of the marks on the shaft catch a finger nail. The bearing...
