Cost for correct 14's ~$1000 (ship, mount, etc.) Coker.com
The rims I used are Hollander Interchange #937. I detailed my steps last year when I went through this conversion as well.
Cheers

Re: 64' alternator ??
I took John's (jleonard) advice and picked one up at Autozone back in June. 61amp, works great. Nothing high powered, but it should cover a good head unit and a couple of 10's in the trunk (in the near future)

Re: Pwr Steering Filter
Don't have a picture of the one I received from Baker's a while back, but it's similar to the NAPA part, with metal casing instead of rubber as the NAPA appears to have. A bit thicker (taller) than original. In order to fit, I purchased a similar retaining spring from Sears hardware, and chopped abo...

Re: Which Pertronix Kit is for Me?
Think it should be the same as mine # 91281 IgnitorII, works great.
This is where I got mine, cheapest I could find. Picked up the FlamethrowerII as well #45011. http://www.carshopinc.com/index.php/cPath/21_24

Re: Attn Graphic Designers: Design our Logo contest!
Ken and greenmachine, great work. I dig the last "bemmer" concept. Would look great as a grill badge or rear window sticker 3-4" in size. I also like the Googie inspired concepts as well, would look great on the back of a t-shirt or drivers side window for the lookie-looos. Tough call...

Welcome to the forum! Brakes on a 5000+lb slab of steel are a necessity. Air is one thing, water, rust and gunk are another. You could be ok with just a bleed or you could be in big trouble if the hoses or cylinders blow on your way home (look ma' no brakes!). I'd have it flatbedded to save yourself...
