Re: 1954 Lincoln Power Window switch retainers

I would assume those would be the same as a 57. I have a couple of extra switches at home and I can get a couple of pictures for you this weekend.

Re: 1965 Upper back panel issues

In total, there are three switches that may be causing your problem... upper back panel limit switch, deck open limit switch left hand, and top up limit switch. The latter two switches are easily tested in place for proper on / off continuity. The upper back panel limit switch should probably be re...

1965 Upper back panel issues

I have a 1965 in the shop right now with upper back panel issues. First of all it is a T-Bird instead of a Lincoln but the tops, of course, are the same. I have worked on these before but this one has me stumped. In the retract cycle the deck lid will unlock and open but the panel will not extend ou...

Re: Mark II neutral switch

I would say you received the wrong package. The "Start Your Mark in Park" Kit should have consisted of a switch/bracket that mounts to the transmission and is simply wired into the Neutral Switch. It should have looked something similar to this: https://www.ebay.com/itm/1955-1956-Lincoln-M...

Re: Paint Formula Issues

PPG has their Prophet color matching system. It allows them to perform a color analysis of the paint and provide a color match. Contact your paint dealer and as them about this service. It's not a perfect match but it'll be great if your painting complete. For spot finishing you can usually blend wi...

Re: Special order top and hood ornament found

Which store was that? I spent a week at Turks & Caicos a few years ago and we stayed at the Ports of Call Resort at Grace Bay. I went there on a dive trip with a local group and we used Dive Provo. The diving was outstanding. Beautiful beach on the north side of the Island.

Re: 57 Premier

What part of Washington are you in? There's a excellent rebuilder in Spokane, Nowlan's Carb & Ignition. I've used him serval times with great results.

Re: Before release, new 1956 Lincoln spy shot

But they uncovered the tail lights and rear bumper!

The exhaust exits through the bumper ends and the tank is filled behind the license plate.

Re: Pertronix in 57

That's my concern. The only hole that can be accessed has an insulated stud in it that the points wire connects to. I did remove the stud but the hole is not large enough for both Pertronix wires to feed through. I could drill it out so they both fit but then the stud no longer would. I would prefer...

Pertronix in 57

Finally getting around to putting a Pertronix unit in my 57 Convertible. Looks to be pretty simple and straight forward. Only difficulty is that since it is a 368 Y-block the dist is on the back of the intake next to the firewall and kind of awkward to get to. Also there is no notch in the housing t...
