Re: 1964 Dash removal. HELP

Hi JIm, that's very cutting edge! Your car is looking great as ever. I can imagine it's a scary thought... I have been putting off restoring the dash for years.

(Haven't been on the forum much the past two years as family live and work have priority over hobbies.)

Cheers!

Re: Starting work on my 61

I'd try Eaton Detrot Spring first. Their set of bushings is around $50.

Make sure to get the centre pads from a Thunderbird parts vendor ('insulator' in the drawing above). Larry's Tbird I think it was.

Re: The great salvage yard Lincoln & Continental thread

The car collection changes composition. I don't know why. Perhaps trading with or 'on loan' from other museums?

There was beautiful Vacel Vega in 2007 that had also disappeared in 2012.

The 'Sleeping Beauties' are the Dovaz collection. Also in France.

The Beast of Turin

This recently restored 1911 Fiat S76 has four valve-per-cylinder, multi-spark, overhead cam technology and a displacement of 28.5 litres. Two of these record breaking cars were built. This is the only one left. Here's a video of this massive engine being started for the first time. [youtube]http://w...
