DO NOT use a torch, use a heat gun. Like you said, get it warm enough to manipulate but not hot to make it bubble. Yes, use any tools you think you will need to help. Definately work from the back side after removing the fascia. After completing the repair, a light skim of body filler or putty may b...

Heat should work, depending on the amount of damage. Also, when repainting, don't forget to add flex additive.

I was a member until last year. The easrern region car show being held in the midwest really frosted me. I guess I'll wait to see what happens and reconsider in the future.

First, check for vacuum to the multiport connector to the control unit. Had identical problem on my '70 Mark III. I had no vacuum to this connector. Quick check, connect a vacuum line to the check valve at the firewall, an then run into the car through the open door glass and connect to the connecto...

I question this car's condition within the first few pics. Tires seem to be quite worn. Hence, I question the sellers honesty regarding tire condition and suspension.

Dan, have you tried Dennis Carpenter Reproductions, for the splash shields. I needed a pair for my 70 Mark. I ordered the large Ford type for the year, and they were a perfect match. About $20 plus shipping, also ordered new hood bumper set, also an exact match.

This is the best product I've ever used for the exhaust manifolds. It doesn't burn off, peel or discolor. I applied mine without media blasting, and it took a couple of coats after complete warm up cycles to cure first. I spoke to the developer prior to purchase. He explained that with time you may ...

Clean it may be, adjusted to specs it may be( does this sound like Yoda talking) . Still you may have a mix problem. Had many situations like this in the 80's on GM vehicles, idle was always ok. Just give the enrichment screw a tweak more to the rich side and check the results. Don't use gage...

Another possibility is a lean skip condition. Check your carb. Do a minor adjustment to the mixture screw. Just give it a tweak, less than a 1/4 turn, drive and compare. If you have an improvement, dig in deeper.

Check the ports under the EGR valve. They are probably partially plugged by carbon. If you find this, clean them out using a carb leaning spray and whatever utensil you can find to reach down into the path. Clean out with shop rags and a shop vac.

It could be the machine, not the tech. If not re calibrated occasionally, they can be out of specs and not balance properly. The variance may be slight, maybe most wouldn't notice, but you do. Try another shop with a off car balancing machine. Those are more accurate, even though the old equipment c...

OK, first back to basics. Was the vibration there even before the first replacement tires? If not, the it's still a tire or wheel problem. If it wasn't there before, go to another shop have them rebalanced. Ask them to check the balance first with the weights still on them. I just re-read the previo...
