Re: 1966 Front Shock Absorbers
Thanks, Dan, computers and I don't really have a relationship. So, Ebay and I are not intimates. Would you believe that I heard about this forum from a fellow Lincoln owner back in 2009 when I joined, but the Episcopal priest across the street a bit, actually came to my computer, found the forum an...

Re: 00 Continental performance
There is very little post-1995 Lincoln information here. We consider those "modern" Lincolns. The bulk of posts here are for "classic" lincolns, 1940s to 1980s. Sorry.
I recommend you try one of the other Lincoln forums.

Re: 1966 Front Shock Absorbers
Getting real nuts and bolts is a real challenge these days. We used to have a place called Fastenal, nearby with semi-intelligent workers who knew nut and bolt grades. But they went out of business, and a wacky-weed store replaced them. Look online. Ebay, love 'em or hate 'em, is a pretty good, but...

Re: '63 Fuel gauge not working
Oh... My... GLOB electrical formulas. That’s my bread and butter. You can’t take a 198 to 80 ohm sweep and turn it into a 118 to 0 ohm sweep without using some powered electronics. The sender is simply built wrong. You’d need to turn the reference resistance you have into the dynamic voltage range y...

Re: 1966 Front Shock Absorbers
Ahh, those trusty lower shock bolts. I think the original lower control arms had welded studs sticking out the bottom. If yours has bolts going up and loose nuts, then the originals broke free long ago. The bolt and nut combo is the fix, but backing both sides is tough through the spring and you hav...

Re: Signature rules
The best part of this forum is the fact you don't allow pictures, life stories, and flashing clip art in the signature blocks. I can't stand reading forums where you can't figure out where the car content begins or ends. The purpose of this is to emphasize the response in the post and not the signa...

Re: Permanent 64 top removal
This is easily doable IF a you think about what things need to be where when the top isn’t there. You can permanently set the appropriate switches to top up or top down and the trunk will open and close as you wish. You will want to disable or disconnect some relays or switches. The mechanism pushes...

Re: To Dan
There have been some great project threads. There was a 76 Continental where they guy literally reseller the frame (beautifully, I might add) and re-did everything. Also, one where the guy out suicide doors on his 70s sedan. There have been some utterly hilarious “oops” threads. My favorite is proba...
