door handle
This may seem like an odd question. I have a 67 sedan. On the inside of the car, the door handle attatches to a mechanism behind the armrest. The mechanism is messed up, and I have somebody who is going to send me one. The problem is, he doesn't know which one is for the driver's door. Apparently, t...

Power seat issues
I finally had a chance to work on the seat. It turns out that the wiring harness going from the switches up to the seat back came unplugged. I plugged it in and it worked great. Well, for a few days. Now neither option works again. I checked, and there is power going to the connections in the seat b...

Destruction of a perfectly good Lincoln
At least the car was new then. If I saw a new Town Car blow up in a movie, I wouldn't care. They still make them. To destroy a nice car that has managed to survive this long is just wrong. Especially for something as undignified as painting it like a circus wagon and slamming it into other wrecks un...

Destruction of a perfectly good Lincoln
While checking out Ebay for parts, I stumbled across a large cache of parts for a 67 Continental. While this should make me excited, The reason these morons are selling the parts is that they are using the coupe in a demolition derby! There are pictures and a link to their website. The car looked gr...

Lip Stick edition Mark 4
There was a bad Burt Reynolds movie in the Seventies called "Gator". The bad guys drove a MK IV that fits that description. It had a sunroof too. The guy driving the car was so tall that his head stuck out the roof.

one-way window
If you take the glovebox out (easy) and stick your hand up behind that grill, you will find the flasher for the turn signals. The 4-way flasher is supposed to be closer to the middle of the car. My 4-ways don't work and I keep forgetting to look for that flasher. Good luck.

I too, have managed to get my windows working, with the exception of the driver's vent window. The plastic rocker broke and bent one of the contacts. When you plug in the switch, the window opens with no way to shut it. At $40 a pop, one is better than many.

steering wheel
I need to pull the steering wheel and straighten it out because the last owner put it on crooked. What is the thread in the two holes that are used for the steering wheel puller? Mine are messed up, I'm not sure if they are 5/16-18, 5/16-20, or something else all together.

'66 Throttle Linkage
Any chance you could send me those pictures too? I just put a Carter on, and the rod on the original linkage rubs up against the pivot for the kick-down. It won't idle below 1000 rpm. I figured out what to make, but I'm wondering if I'll have that kick-down problem once I redo the linkage. My e-mail...

Updating the stereo - -65 sedan
Is that the Sony Explod? I saw it in a Crutchfield catalog. I was wondering if the head unit could be mounted in the trunk. Then you could just have the stalk, with no evidence of a stereo. How far awy from the car will the stalk or remote work?

tv time
I was reading an old preview of the 1966 Continental. It mentioned a 9" tv as a dealer option. Aparently, it hung over the back of the front seat and plugged into the lighter. Does anyone have one of these, or know if they actually existed? I'd love to have one if I could find one.

I rebuilt my carb over the weekend. The kit for the Carter doesn't come with a new dashpot. Does anybody know where to get one? Mine is all shriveled up and leaky.
