Re: 1977 Mark V with glass roof
I'll have to look again but I'm pretty sure it has a fixed glass roof. All of the pictures I'm seeing on the internet make it look like only a power glass roof was available, and they look a lot smaller. This one takes up almost the whole area between the windshield and vinyl roof. Stock or not? Ha...

Re: 1977 Mark V with glass roof
If you decide to buy it, you could take it to Maco for a color change. As paint jobs go, they aren't the best, but also they are not expensive. If the car were painted black, that roof color may not look that bad . It would stand out against the black body. Before I had the new top put on my 78 mark...

Re: My '61 Convertible is delivered!
Great find.
Love the color.
Of all the slabsides, the 61 is my favorite.
I think it's the grill that makes it look so great.
I hope you have many years of enjoyment with it.
Bob.

Re: New shop design ideas?
A picture of the shop would help in coming up with design changes, as well as signage to be used.
Can you upload some pictures of the garage, and what color schemes you are looking for?

Re: 1960 Steering Wheel Restoration
That looks great! How did you do it? First off, if you are referring to the wheel, I removed most of the dirt and grease with simply green, then sanded the hell out of it. The cracks were where the smooth part of the wheel meets the "ribbed" area. To fill them (about 1/8"-1/4" g...

Re: 1960 Steering Wheel Restoration
You didn't post a picture so we could see the condition of your wheel, so in response I can only ask why don't you restore it yourself and save some bucks? When I had my 59 convertible, the steering wheel really needed restoring. It took me a couple of days, but the results were worth it. I also did...

Re: Lincoln MKC Crossover SUV Spy Photo
Regardless of the original subject of this thread, or others having to do with Lincoln of the present, it ALWAYS gets around to one thinking the Lincoln lineup is dead, while others think it is in the midst of a re-birth. Sales figures, or the lack there of, are thrown about to further one side or t...

Re: Great '57 convertible footage!
I don't know how many of you get METV on your television, but twice daily they air the Perry Mason series, and plenty of old Lincolns, Fords, and General motors cars are in the series.
I really like when the 59 Continental convertible is used.
That car is absolutely beautiful.

Re: Lincoln MKC Crossover SUV Spy Photo
I don't know about the rest of you, but I suspect contifan is a MAJOR stock holder in the Lincoln motor company. He has never, in all his post, had one thing to say about Lincoln that even hinted of the word undesirable, regardless of what most on this forum are saying regarding the vehicles, and di...

Re: Lehmann-Peterson - this is just wrong
I think Linc 400 is expressing the same thing I wanted to know way back when, and that is, why did Lincoln not come out with their top of the line model before introducing these entry level sedans.? If a company wants to show the world what they are made of, then they should be showing the best poss...

With the head unit under the seat, you will need an infrared repeater.
That will allow you to use your remote to operate the head unit.

Re: Any access openings in Mark IV for running cables?
I assume all Ford products are alike, and that also includes access for wires. The firewall on my Tbird had holes in it for wires, but they were all used up when I installed my audio system. The instructions for installation stated that the amp would have to be wired directly to the battery, the re...

Re: Am I crazy?
Cleaned up the car and took it for a ride this morning - every time I get in her I just get so confused over whether to sell her or not! :) Are you guys all as crazy as me? Many of us have been there, done that, and many of us feel as you do. I sold my 78 Diamond Jubilee about 6 or 7 years ago, and...

Re: Another Diamond Jubilee for me (well maybe)
... and hopefully a nicer colour! ugh, I don't care for that colour at all. The Diamond Jubilee only came in two colors, Jubilee gold, and Diamond blue. When I bought my Diamond Jubilee 23 years ago, it was the gold color, but after looking at everything gold for the better part of 10 years, I deci...
