Re: Correct hardware

Hello, I'm not certain of the question, but here is one approach. I would order AMK's catalog. The most recent one I have I purchased in January 2004, "AMK Products GUIDE TO FORD FASTENERS 1955 - 73 (c) 1997 AMK Products." These parts are for all FoMoCo cars, Lincolns included. From a Linc...

Re: 61-79 elec digrams PLEASE READ HELP!

Hello All,

"Any thoughts?"

Yes. Is it legal without permission from Ford?

Sincerely, Willard.

Re: 61-79 elec digrams PLEASE READ HELP!

Hello All,

Baker's Auto, and possibly our other vendors, has electrical diagrams for 64 and 65 LC, perhaps others. I have several, and they are excellent.

Sincerely, Willard.

Re: Any tips on trunk lining material used for '64?

Hello, As I recall ... plus some documental support ... Yes, for 1964 LC, the spare is under the package shelf for the sedan. Under the flap, there is a special bolt, bolt anchor, jack base, and special wing nut to hold it down in place. The spare is somewhat difficult to handle in and out because o...

Hello, I would think a sensitive clamp-on inductive DC ammeter would work well. Go from wire to wire. I think I posted on this long ago. Sincerely, Willard. ************************************** EDIT This may help: http://www.thelincolnforum.net/phpbb/viewtopic.php?t=2962&highlight=clamp++ammeter

Hello Dino, From a 1965 LINCOLN booklet of circuits I think I purchased from Baker's Auto: This circuit breaker is in the interior panel under/to the right of the right, upholstered kick panel--car's right. In the illustration, there are several vertical retangles labelled as follows: Front--blank N...

Hello Dan, I recall that the 1964 LC shop manual had/has the instructions for adjusting the accelerator pump backwards. They related the pump actuation distance to the incorrect location of the pivot point--levers! The local zone office disagreed with me, but later shop manuals have it corrected. Si...

Hello JLincoln65, With respect to the camshaft, take the other one to an engine rebuilder to determine if it is for the 462 or 430. Further speculation: I can't remember, but does this car have a laminated exhaust? Of course, in any case it could have such a system via replacement over the years. Do...

Hello, Satisfactory switch boots are easily made from sheet rubber or reinforced sheet rubber, but if you want "originals", Baker's Auto sells them in contoured form (as I understand it): web site: http://www.bakersauto.com "61-67 Window Switch Boot (Protect these expensive switches f...

Hello azman648, Congratulations! It appears to be like new! If so, I recommend that you put it in your library and purchase another manual for somewhat rough and somewhat dirty work! Sincerely, Willard. P.S. I just noticed that it's a Factory Authorized Reproduction, but it sure looks beautiful! I'd...

Hello all, I've posted on this before in more detail, as I recall. For hardware, everyone of us LCOC types should be aware also of this company and book/catalog: AMK Products, Guide to Ford Fasteners 1955-73. They may have other guides, too, perhaps newer. AMK Products Inc. 800 Airport Road, Winches...
