Ok, thanks for the answers. I'll skip this idea. German alwasy love to do a little extra engineering. I always drive my Continentals in the rain. Well preserved sills and watched by an endoscope. Sorry I didn’t give the full set of informations. It is a 68 Continental. The shop manual talks about window moulding but there us no advice how to remove them. I know it is possible to cover them with tape. This was done previously to this paint job and to be honest I don’t like it. I am German and...

I like to know how to remove the alloy frame around the front and mostly important from the rear window.
Before I do something I will regret I ask you to help me with some hints.

My gearbox has been repaired now and there is a rubber piece at the end that keeps dirt away from the outgoing shaft.
Approximately 4 inch diameter.
Does someone has a source for that?

Greetings from Germany While waiting for a new engine I am changing some rubber parts. At the two linkages accelerator and gearbox there are left and right of the pivots small rubber parts looking like very tiny doughnuts smaller than one inch. Can some give me a source or tell me how you name them....

Thanks a lot. My thoughts were if there is grease in there there is no room for dirt. Thanks for the answers, I'll clean it every 50 years...
