Re: Last Ride of 2021

Thanks Howard, Love those Mk 2's like yours. Love'em.......... some day I might even own one, never can tell. I remember the first time I saw one (stored in the old Alcan Aluminum factory in Kingston, Ontario) and also the last time (followed behind plus drove alongside an elderly silver-haired gent...

Last Ride of 2021

This may or may not work, guys. Never a computer or cell phone video genius, it would still appear appear that I have been able to upload a video that I took during my final ride of the season. It would also appear as if the voice-over disappeared somewhere. Oh well, I probably said very little of r...

Re: window regulator coil spring

Bagged, I'm probably the last guy to be giving advice on this topic except to say please be a bit careful with this window regulator coil spring affair. I have watched the Nathan Wilson youtube video where he underscores the need to be careful. See https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LhZeWe4qxO4 entitle...

Re: 2021 Mileage Challenge (Official)

The Last Waltz - Well, the temperature rose to a screaming 59 degrees today here in the north country (a rare event in December in Canada) and I was ready. So on a grey, blustery day I hopped into my '61 and left for what I knew would be the final ride of 2021. At one point I stopped beside an 1836 ...

Re: Painting my Lincoln

Car looks just great, Mark. Wow.

What a great feeling to finally be cruising down some highway ......... after that combination of planning, patience, effort and $$$$ finally came together and yielded that Black Beauty.

Congratulations!

Re: Don't Drive your car!

Well Wayne, you got the old girl up and safely operational again... which is what counts in my book. Maine wouldn't be the same without it prowling around up there. I figure repairing these cars is just the "Cost of Doing Business."....... and the business we're all in like it or not, is o...

Re: 60's Vacuum Door lock issue solved

Great to hear all went well.

Of note, the vacuum manifold for the door locks, located behind the glove compartment on my 1961 is quite different from your photos. No idea what year they changed it.

Re: 2021 Mileage Challenge (Official)

Here's a toast to you, Tony - You are a real champ and battler after all that you and Frankenstein have been through .........to be able to emerge out the other side and be back on the road again!!! Here in the bleak white world I live in, it's below freezing with snow on the ground. But Thursday is...

Re: Couple of Lincolns on BAT - If price remains low......

Lately I seem to be the guy mentioning slab sides for sale on BAT. Hope I'm not being repetitive or bothering anyone. Presently there's a 1962 convertible with 4 hours left in the auction and the money bid at the moment is $83,500. Fun car to look at. https://bringatrailer.com/listing/1962-lincoln-c...

Re: Couple of Lincolns on BAT - If price remains low......

For some reason, I keep getting booted off the Forum when I hit the Submit button.

Well, the '64 Lincoln ended up selling for $46,250. That's a lot of money. But that was a lot of car.
