Re: Permanent 64 top removal
Dom Dom........ We share the same last name and also a love for these old Lincolns. No advice from me but I will share a story. I own a few cars and on a beautiful blue sky day I went golfing. One of those dog days of summer with not a cloud in the sky. Unfortunately the wind picked up suddenly on t...

Re: Vacuum hose issues
I don't want to confuse this issue and I know it's a '63 you're dealing with. But on my '61 (a different configuration) the main supply line going from the engine to the round HVAC Control Unit has a JUNCTION and splits into two hoses just prior to connecting to the Control Unit and thus connects to...

Re: All The Way With LBJ
Hey Papa!! Great to hear from you. For my Dad, combat became an ugly thing fast. Not sure about my Father-In-Law who also wouldn't talk. But not PTSD. Just the firm knowledge that relating stories about those bad memories laced with terror, hate and regret weren't the same as what we all watched in ...

Re: All The Way With LBJ
My Dad and my Father-in Law were front line WW2 vets. All my Dad would say was "I walked from Sicily to Germany." My father-in-Law was badly wounded although he did live until he was 82. He didn't talk about it at all.

Re: 1961-1965 Interior Wood Trim Kits
Hi Mark, Pretty cool. Having replaced the trim on my '61 the hard way, I would have to say this company sure would have saved me a lot of time. After reading the description in their Home Site, I don't think this is real wood.......... for those who consider that to be important. I will add that I d...

Re: 1955 Thunderbird Mark II
You definitely passed, Bill. Looks like a cool project to me.
Knowing what Bill has already done with his museum and his car collection, I assume that if he runs into something on this project that he can't do personally he'll simply consider it something that a cheque will fix.
Cheers

Re: 1955 Thunderbird Mark II
Hi Bill, Pretty interesting. I like the look and agree it's an interesting design idea. The rear of those Mark II's were wonderful in my view. Maybe I misunderstood your post a little and what you meant was the angle of that photo simply made you wonder what this conversion may have looked like, bec...

Hi D. Welcome to the Forum. Hope everything straightens out successfully with the car's restoration (especially that pesky convertible top) and with the ownership trail. Photos??

Hey Papa, Glad you're doin well, Wayne!! I'm the guy from Ontario with the '61 and all is good here. Still have the car (didn't sell) and now awaiting a transmission rebuild. I'm a northern Maine fan myself. :) My grandparents were from Caribou and we visited them every summer. I used to love it the...

Re: 2023 Mileage Challenge Thread (OFFICIAL)
Tony, don't know if you're still in San Antonio or on your way home (or already home) but hoping you have a safe and fun ride back to Indiana. Just kidding about the photos. I opened the drivers door the other day and that low strip of chrome on the door panel somehow got caught on the door jam and ...

Re: 2023 Mileage Challenge Thread (OFFICIAL)
There is absolutely no doubt that Stu and Tony are the Kingpins of the long distance road trip. We can all enjoy living vicariously through their blacktop adventures. I do know one thing though........................ there are a lot more Stu photos available trip-wise than there are poses of Franke...
