Re: New Owner 1963 Sedan

Welcome from another classic LC gas guzzler but EV daily driver to another...... Going of the second pic that has a EV charge cord in the background. Love the b pillar delete. Tried getting more info on how to do it in the past but abandoned the idea. Never seemed to find it complete and all cleaned...

Re: 1965 Continental wont shift into 3rd all of a sudden

I agree with silk2ben that it is something "simple". I have had too many automatics go bad in my life and not shifting into a gear was never a sign of rebuild. Slipping has always been the common sign of rebuild time. With how his car was shifting normally and given the abrupt not shifting...

Re: Stall then crank no start

After you start it, how long do you let it idle? I have found that it is best to let my 64 idle for awhile prior to putting it into gear and driving off. If I didn't, my car would do as your describing. Prior to me putting in a stock fuel filter, I also had one of those see through glass filters. I ...

Re: Forum shutdown for upgrade Labor Day weekend Sep 1-4.

Sounds similar to newbies at some forums I goto.. thank you facebook🙄 There are always newbies. I am still a newbie only because the shop hasn't drained me to where I have to work on the Continental myself. There is always someone who gets tired of the same "questions", there is always th...

Re: Forum shutdown for upgrade Labor Day weekend Sep 1-4.

Just tell them to come here when we’re open. Eff Facebook! Dang it Dan, you ruined my joke. I was trying to make the point that Facebook groups don't have the info that this forum has. So if the forum is down for updating, Facebook groups can't come to the forum to get answers that they turn around...

:smt033 How will the Facebook groups be able to get answers to questions that others ask during this time if the forum is shut down? :stick:

Re: 1961 - 63 Door Courtesy Light Fix

Both! The only reason I ask is it seemed like a good part to list with this interior light lens fix. I mean, why fix the lenses if the they wont turn on from the doors being open. I may actually have rears that don't work. The majority of the time only the drivers side door gets open as I get in and...

Re: Donations list

Hello everybody, I hope that many have stepped up to the plate to keep this forum going. I know for a fact that many of the Facebook groups provide answers and info to questions about peoples Lincolns, directly from info they got from this forum. To me it comes across as someone who wants to appear ...

Re: 1961 - 63 Door Courtesy Light Fix

This is great info as always. Who has a link to the door switch replacement that operates the lights? You know those pesky little switches that turn the lights on and off depending on opening the door or closing it. :?

Damnit, I'm a DapperDan lighting man! I don't want no Fop lighting. Nice work. Over work for a lighting project? Heck no. Everything on these cars is overwork. So who cares. Nice job and thanks for sharing!   Great pics, well described and easy to follow. Again, very good p...

Re: OH CRAP!!! Another Newbie!!!

Well that really sucks. You'll probably find those rust spots match up with the reinforcement on the inside of the trunk lid. Yea I know, darn it. I may have jumped to conclusions that the previous body shop "hide" something. We all know these are problem areas, and the shop could have ea...
