Re: oil pressure sensor

I had no idea I'd get any more of a response than "yeah, simple job, don't sweat it"! Thanks for the warning Tony. Now, what adapter? What gasket? I thought this was plug-and-play. Maybe I should have the shop do it after all.

oil pressure sensor

I need to replace my oil pressure switch because it's leaking (I was told). I have the new one. Is there anything to this job other than unscrewing the oil one and screwing in the new one? Should I use high-temperature thread sealant or is Teflon tape the better choice? I need to change the oil so I...

Re: Finding the correct screws

This is a nautically-oriented company but they do have a very wide range: https://www.jamestowndistributors.com/product/Fasteners

Re: Finding the correct screws

Viking, you'd be doing everyone a grand favor by compiling a list like that! Have at it, and thanks!

Re: Mark IIIs. Why do people persist in believing advertisin

I know this is a hot topic within the LCOC but it's all moot to me. I'll gladly call a Mark II a Continental, but even it had a Lincoln engine and was sold by Lincoln dealers. When all's said and done, they were all products of the Ford Motor Company.

Re: Just letting you know

Congratulations, Mike, and thank you for my terrific fuel pump! Thanks for all you've done for all of us, and for answering questions on this forum. Now, a plug. I can list at least 4 key retirements and one death among "the Usual Suspects" as many forum members can. It isn't unique to Lin...

Re: Just wanted to say thanks to the forum contributors.

Actually, you should. I have a loose-leaf binder full of printouts from this forum, arranged by subject/part/procedure. A book by Dan, or Dan & friends that boiled down some of the longer post threads, discarded outdated or incorrect information, and organized it intelligently would be fabulous....

Re: Vehicle Lift

BendPak seems to have a wide range of proper lifts. They make QuickJacks and MaxJax now too. They have 2- and 4-post lifts on their well-organized website. Another company is Backyard Buddy. A friend of mine, notable collector and race-car driver, has one and likes it, but says servicing is tough.

Re: Just wanted to say thanks to the forum contributors.

Acton & MFE, your exchange reminds me of when I bought my '66. First thing I did was join LCOC, get the directory, and look to see if there was anyone near me with a slabside 'vert. Lo and behold: across the street, 3 doors down!

Re: New Wiring Harnesses for Engine Compartment

With Narragansett Reproductions out of the picture, these are sorely needed. There's a special place in heaven for the enterprising fellows who originate new reproduction parts for our Lincolns! Many thanks!
