Re: A/C Compressor Conversion Kits

There's a group on FB coordinating a 20 or 25% off the kits from Restomod Air. Here's the info I copied from the post: "After talking to the general manager, it was determined that the unit needed for our cars is the Haymaker II kit which retails for $975 which is the unit they just installed i...

Re: 65' Window Switch Alternate/Replacement

I got an email back saying they only come in black. Actually, the response was:

"It's kind of like Henry Ford said: “any color so long as it is black”.

Re: 62 - trunk lid options?

The gent making the fiberglass ones passed away, unfortunately. There are a few people kicking the idea around and potentially looking to find his plugs to use. Either way, good luck. I spent about a year and a half looking for one and found it in AZ. It was still $1100 all in to get it to Seattle.

Re: 1961-63 Windshield Molding/Rubber

Has anybody pulled their own windshield? Is this something I can do with a couple buddies and potentially not destroy the rubber? If so, I'll plan to do it soon.

Do you have one to send him? If not, I can see what shape my '62 is in. Might be a few weeks though.

Re: 1961-63 Windshield Molding/Rubber

If you end up having to use 3M stuff or caulk anyway, why not only use modern stuff? Is there any downside other than originality?

Re: Open trunk with no key? '62 sedan

haha, both the glove box and trunk key are the same on my '62. My ignition and trunk keys were both stolen though. I have only an ignition key made off of bringing my door lock in. Had them make a quick key so I could drive the car.

Re: Open trunk with no key? '62 sedan

Yeah, there's a great locksmith around me that works on old cars a lot. I'll swing by. He's either going to pop the trunk, find my keys and get my business to make copies. Or he'll pop the trunk, no keys, and get my business to rekey the locks.

Thanks!

Open trunk with no key? '62 sedan

My house was robbed some time ago and I think they took my Lincoln keys. I have new blanks and I'm going to get the locks and ignition re-keyed just for safety sake. I know I can just have the locksmith make a key for the trunk, but is there any way I can get in myself? I'd like to check the trunk j...
