Yes, the timing set for the plymouth had the wrong cam gear in one set and the wrong chain in another. The fuel pump I kept. I was acused of not knowing a bad part, that's where the corporate problems began. I dropped the fuel tank three times to get it to work out because they had a bad sending uni...

The timing sets were for a plymouth minivan and a ford truck. Both were wrong parts. I don't buy parts for the lincoln from them. I don't like doing the job twice. I will use my local parts supplier for now on.

Murray's Auto Parts

I would not recomend using Murrays as a reliable parts supplier. If you have problems with the parts you buy good luck getting satisfaction for the corporate offices, They will blow you off if you can get ahold of them. They may be good for oil and filters but I would not use them for any other part...

The reset is on the bottom of the dash. Silver knob just to the right of the steering collum pointing down. Pull down and turn, it will rotate the numbers, when all lined up to zero it is reset.

Maybe I should not answer anymore. My Idea is that a car is best left alone unless it NEEDS to be repaired to drive it. Some will disagree. It is your car and final decision, if you like it that is all that matters. If the club wants to help pay for parts, or others, then it is their call. More peop...

maybe I'm wrong but I think an orginal /survivor class would excuse necessay repairs ( parts, body work & paint as necessay) to keep the car roadworthey. To go and overhaul the entire vehicle and replace or replate or paint every part as possible is what I was thinking about. There are a lot of ...

I like this. People can show a survivor and not be ridiculed Restored cars are nice to look at, but not everybody can afford one. Every car saved is a piece of history for everyone to see and enjoy. We need to encourage this practice. Once it is restored, it is not orginal. I would rather see a good...

What does your lincoln need? I might be able to help you, if not my friend Tony might be able to. We are in the Detroit metro area and we both own 65 convertibles. I would like to see your car. Ours are both orginal, not restored. If you need help, let me know.
