Thanks for your reply - I already was afraid that it would not be an easy job. At least I do have a working pit in my garage, and the engine is perfectly clean maybe I will have a chance to reach the two bolts with a crow foot wrench?

Unfortunately the fuel pump of my 71 Mark III started leaking, probably because I did not drive the car for a longer period of time. Now its finally time to replace it and drive the car more often again. On this car the fuel pump is not exactly easily accessible... especially the two bolts attaching...

I went through the link to the excellent thread above once again today and finally found the burned out bulb in the column.
I now have a working indicator light again!

Today today I finally found the time to try to repair the non working light. I could remove the cover but couldn't find a lightbulb in there? I'm a little puzzled now - I have no idea where the bulb could be located?

Thanks John, Thats what I thought as well when I read the description... I can get to the lens and get it loose, but you cant pry it out, and I cant see any bulb below the lens. So I assume they are talking about a different part at the column which has to get removed and where the bulb is located....

Hi,
Does anybody know how the bulb of the gear shift indicator is changed?
Its the only non working thing on my car and I would love to replace it.
I do not have the slightest idea how to do it though...
