Maybe you all have already seen this going around the internet but I thought I would post it anyway, just for fun. We could probably compare them to Lincolns too. Microsoft Vs. General Motors For all of us who feel only the deepest love and affection for the...

Brian, I am with you there. My 1959 Continental needs new seals on the doors and door windows badly. There are pretty much dry-rotted. I am afraid to drive it even with the slightest chance of rain or the chance of getting caught in a rain storm, because I KNOW that the rain would get inside around ...

I am not looking for a particular part YET. Just found them on the internet. They do not seem to have parts for my 1959. Most seem to be 1961 on. Just wondered about them.
Thanks

Covering Our Lincolns, OK to Layer?
Thanks for the info Mark III. The $400 price was for the Cal. Car Company's highest end cover. The other car cover company ( www.markii.com ), lists several types of covers also, some of the fabric is made by Kimberly-Clark. Mark II says for cars from 1900 thru the present. You may want to check out...

'59 Hub Cap Size?
I went and looked and I apologize for my lack of knowledge, the tires do say 14" on them. Sorry for any confusion. I do like these caps alot. I need to get the black part repainted. The chrome looks fine.

Covering Our Lincolns, OK to Layer?
Yes, I did call them and they quoted me $400 and something for a custom-made cover. Another company I found online, www.markii.com, , also advertises car covers. This guy has a 56 or 57 Mark II. I have not talked to them yet. Another one in my online search for car parts, etc. PAUL 1959 Continental ...

To correct myself I measured the hudcap itself (15.5"), since I did not remove it to measure. The hudcap covers the entire rim except for about 1/8". My hudcaps, on hudcap.com, are #LIN59c. The owner's manual shows the same ones, at least they look like the same ones to me. I am not sure o...

I am not an expert on car covers and am looking for one for my 59 Continental also. I was at Fall Carlisle in PA this weekend and saw the California Car Cover Company (http://www.calcarcover.com). They make custom covers. They seem like great covers though a bit on the expensive side. But again I ju...

'59 Hub Cap Size?
I went out and measured my wheels last night. My (recently acquired) '59 Continental has 15.5" rims and the wheel covers (no idea if they are the correct ones) cover the entire rim. Just my input. My production date was May, I believe. I am also looking for another 15.5" rim since I have n...

Headlamps on BRIGHT!
Just bought a 1959 Cont. Mark IV (a green one, hense the name ). The headlamps are stuck in high beam and of course will not pass inspection. I do not know alot about electrical problems. I am not sure where to start looking for the problem. When stepping on ...
