Hi Bob and Todd.... That in itself sounds kinda familiar to me, as those are my Dad, and brother's names, respectively. Hmmm...deja vu all over again.... Anyways, Bob, sounds like an interesting Diamond. I will click on your link tonite, and look around your site. Me myself, I have always been fasci...

Thanks Bob, I will look into this. I suppose that a corroded switch is as possible as anything with this car, since it has sat virtually unattended and not run since 92. I had kinda thought it had something more to do with the WSW motor assy on the firewall, but I am open to any suggestions. BTW.......

No "Park" in WS wipers, 1978 Mark V

Hey Guys, Long time no talk to... Back again from the "lost vast wasteland", where all good past LCOC directors go, I guess... Anyways, I recently purchased ANOTHER "project" Lincoln (i know, i said i was done with that) but found a real nice '78 Gold Diamond Jubilee Mark V. Been...

Send me an e mail through this forum, or you can reach me easier at commander31@comcast.net.

I am south of Detroit, near Monroe. Where exactly are you, and can you give me a few more details about this car??

Thanks in advance.

Rear seat- How hard to find?

I have access to a silver blue back seat assembly in a parts car that you would be welcome to. It is cloth and leather though, in a wrecked sedan. Been stored for 25 years indoors. You would have to fab-spray or reupholster to your color, but it's a start. Also, I have a good friend in Vermilion, OH...

1982 lincoln mark

Hey Bruce..... Had to chime in here, cuz I had the duplicate car to yours back in the years 1989 to 1992. Mine was a local Detroit one owner car, 33000 miles at that time and my salesman buddy at the local L-M dealership had been notified by me on several occasions to be on the lookout for any 1980 ...

she won't go boom

Wow, what an interesting and gripping problem....... Funny that it turned out to be nothing more than starter solenoid problems. I was figuring that it would be some spectacular quirky electrical problem unique to 64s. Reason I mention this is that I am presently "scratching at both ends" ...

60 Formal Sedan

Hi Brandin.. Boy, you DO have a rare bird. I had a 1960 Formal Limousine from 1988 to 1992, and sold it to a fellow LCOC member who still has it, in Okla. City. The production figure for my car was 36. I found out about a 60 Formal Sedan for sale at an estate sale in Grosse Pointe, MI many years ago...

Mark V Ign. Lock Cylinder removal....

Okay Gentlemen, I have just now finally gotten around to purchasing a replacement steering column for my beloved driver, a 79 Cartier Edition Mark V. My shifter broke off in my hand over a year ago, and I have just gotten used to the vise grips in place of the shift lever. [img]images/smiles/icon_bi...

Jesse, One more thing.....you might want to reply in duplicate to me via my home e mail address, as it may be a few "daze" before I return to the forum. Just "aks" our beloved "Web-Poobah" how forgetful I can be in my old age and new found retirement [img]images/smiles/...

Where To Find an Engine? 64 Cont.

Jesse, Are you still on the market for a 64 430?? If you are let me know, I will make mention of it to my friend. He is also in the Southern Detroit area and has a nice 64 in his building he hasn't run in many years, but he kept the car as a parts car after he was involved in an accident and was hit...

64 w/Sidemarker Lights

Hey Scott, Welcome to the Forum and also hurry up and join the LCOC...they have a heck of a following in CA... I saw your car on ebay too and was intrigued by it. Nearly a double to one that showed up on "traderonline.com" a couple of years ago, and this one had a real interesting history ...

'58 Turbo Drive Shifting Problems

Hi Chuck, At this late date you may already have your problem with the 58 tranny worked out but the skinny on the early / late transmissions for 58 were as follows. By Jan/Feb 1958 Ford engineers realized they had a real problem on their hands with the early 58 430 engines and trannies. A quick fix ...

1959 Premiere nylon timing gear??

Hi Patrick, To the best of my knowledge, i believe that every one of the 430s ever built used a composite aluminum/nylon upper timing (camshaft) gear. It was a "noise issue". I myself have probably replaced twenty or more of these rascals on almost every one of my Ford engines over the yea...

Well, guys, this might be a long one, so if you're interested, maybe you should go and grab another adult libation first... This Tri-Power subject is one which I have done extensive research on over the last 13 years, since I purchased my first 58 Continental. ...
