Ford 6.0 diesel in a lincoln???

Has anyone considered a diesel engine for their Lincoln. I was thinking the Ford 6.0 or 6.4 I'm not sure what the demensions are on a Ford diesel but it would probably be a very tight sqeeze if possible at all. If you do fine a replacement be sure to let us know. I too have tried to locate the fittings to have my hoses made localy but with no luck. Someone surely makes them because the usuall suspects carry new hoses

Ive also heard of people rolloing up a towl and putting it in the rear wndow when the top is going back to keep it from damaging the window.

Thats what I did for my 66 and it worked just fine. Its been about 4 years since I did it and I dont have the car anymore. But from what I remember there wasnt any problems and it was alot less expensive. Plus you have a marble paper weight when your done.

autostick... the way I tested all my servos and vacuum lines was to disconnect them indivdually from the back of the main heater/ac servo and apply vacuum to them one at a time with a hand held vacuum pump that you can get at any parts store. I feel your pain.. the 61 servos seemed to be faulty from the start. But a 62 servo is a direct replacement and is much more reliable. I have an extra heater only servo from a 62. If your interested ill sell it to ya reasonable
